Big Money

I got convinced today to buy a lotto ticket. I have never done it before but my sister pointed out that it was 500 million so I might as well throw 4 bucks at it. Before this goes any further, I did not win the lotto. If I had I would have posted this picture and I peaced out for a solid month while doing rich things.

Now that I have played the lotto I totally get why people keep playing. I actually convinced myself that I had a really solid chance to win. I spent $80.00 at benefit while actually saying in my head "Don't worry about it, if you win the lotto you are going to need all this makeup for your interviews." For a couple hours tonight I was millionaire. One day, one day.

I am not going to bore you with the idea that I would donate to charity if I won that much money. I am being honest in saying that is definitely not the first things I would think of. Truthfully having that much money gives me a ton of anxiety. It didn't help that when I turned on the news to see my numbers on the screen the first thing I saw was some guys saying "If you win make sure you keep the ticket safe and then yourself!" Um what? Is someone going to shoot me if I win the lotto? That really destroys my plans of running in the street screaming "I WON 500 MILLION DOLLARS!"I guess its a good thing I didn't win the lotto after all.

I ripped my jeans this morning. Unfortunately, it was not because they were old and worn. No people, it was just because they didn't fit. So I was aware that I should be making some changes for my waist line but now it has become a necessity to keep functioning everyday. Lets just say after ripping your jeans you are not feeling like a million bucks. I guess my attitude of "ehh I could always look worse" as I reach for another slice of za needs to change.

Here is a song for all those ladies who have ripped their jeans before.

 I will probably continue to go for that second slice and, in the words of Julia Roberts from Eat Pray Love, just buy bigger pants.

Thanksgiving Wrap-Up

With 4 of the 5 of us home this past weekend there was little quiet and rest but, when we get together there very rarely is, and that is the way that I like it. Thanksgiving weekend, like most weekends home, was chaotic but filled with lots of laughs. 

Mom did another great job of making the house ready for the holidays from the beautiful table to the most amazing  dinner. 

The rest of the weekend was filled some movie time, pjs and a big win from ND! I swear I think my older brother started crying.

Family Times

The countdown to Thanksgiving is officially on! I am so looking forward to some quality time at home with the fam. As my siblings get older, time together is less frequent so I really enjoy the moments we do get. Most of the time those moments involve us kids in our pjs all day laying in the basement watching TV as my mom calls us lazy. They are special none the less. Tuesday Song

After President Obama was elected my facebook blew up with intense and disappointing comments. What I find really shocking/ridiculous is that all those people who wanted Romney to win for the good of the country completely abandoned our country as soon as Obama was elected.  What does that say about you? Everybody has a right to his or her opinions about the election but I find it sad to see how quickly people just give up. Respect is earned people.

Election Night!

I am very excited that election day is finally hear! Mainly because I need my Facebook to go back to normal but also because this is a very important election! With my own family being very split we have had a number of very interesting and insightful conversations over the last couple months and I am excited to see how it all plays out tonight! Happy Friday

I am especially excited for this weekend to start because I am going to be taking a photography workshop that I have been really looking forward to for awhile. Also, some of my besties are in town so a total girl session is happening this evening. I can't wait to gossip. I hope everyone else has a lovely weekend. I know its only 3:30 but....
